KABADDI COURT INFORMATION FOR SUB JUNIOR, JUNIOR AND SENIOR

SUB-JUNIOR KABADDI COURT

The Kabaddi court dimensions for sub-junior players are somewhat smaller than for junior and senior players, who are usually under the age of 14. The following are the requirements for the court:

Dimensions: Approximately 11 meters in length and 8 meters in breadth make up the court.

Center Line:

Place: Forms a horizontal division between the two equal halves of the court.
Positioned near the halfway point of the court’s width.
Measurements: Takes up the whole width of the court.
The Baulk Line

Function: Provides a place for raiders to gather before beginning a raid.
Distance: Situated 2.75 meters on either side of the court from the center line.
Measurements: Covers the whole width of the court.

Bonus Line 

Use: During a raid, players can get additional points by crossing this line.
The distance is one meters on either side of the court from the baulk line.
Measurements: Takes up the whole width of the court.

Last Lines:

Its purpose is to demarcate the playing area’s borders.
Placement: Positioned at the opposite ends of the court, perpendicular to the center line.

Junior Kabaddi Court

For junior players, typically aged between 14 and 18, the court dimensions are slightly larger than those for sub-juniors to accommodate their advancing skills and physical abilities. The court specifications include:

  • Dimensions: The court measures approximately 13 meters in length and 10 meters in width.
  • Surface: Similar to sub-junior courts, the surface can be compacted soil, sand, or synthetic material.
  • Markings: The court markings are identical to those for sub-junior courts, including the center line, balkline, bonus line, end lines, and lobby.

Senior Kabaddi Court

For senior-level players, including professional and international competitions, the Kabaddi court dimensions adhere to standard regulations set by governing bodies such as the International Kabaddi Federation (IKF). The court specifications are as follows:

  • Dimensions: The court measures 13 meters in length and 10 meters in width, consistent with international standards.

  • Markings: The court markings are the same as those for sub-junior and junior courts, including the center line, balkline, bonus line, end lines, and lobby.
